1. No Data Collection
Ledger MCP is designed as a local-first application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your financial data, bank statements, or transaction history.
Everything operates on your local machine. Your data never leaves your computer.
2. Local Storage
All processed data is stored in a SQLite database file (ledger.db)
located directly on your hard drive. You have full control over this file and can delete it at
any time.
3. Open Source & Verifiable
Ledger MCP is 100% open source software licensed under MIT. You don't have to take our word for it—you can inspect every line of code on our GitHub repository.
This transparency ensures there are no hidden trackers, backdoors, or unauthorized data transmission mechanisms.
4. Third-Party Services
This software is open source. If you choose to connect it to third-party AI models (like Claude, OpenAI, or local LLMs) via the Model Context Protocol (MCP), data is sent to those providers only when you explicitly ask a question.
- We do not have access to these interactions.
- Please refer to the privacy policies of the respective AI providers you choose to use.
4. Hosting & Analytics
This documentation site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may collect basic logs (IP addresses, user agents) for security and performance analysis. We use no marketing cookies or tracking pixels.
